Last week Ray, Daniel and I went to Breckenridge and Vail to ski. Daniel met a bunch of friends; and we hung with the parents. A really nice week even if it was below 0 degrees most of the week. We used to take the boys skiing every February break; and they always missed the Martin Luther King swim meet in Washington D.C. because of the skiing. Hard to ski and swim - you would think they were opposite seasons but they are not.
February means getting on a flight out west and hanging out with the family, skiing during the day and hanging with the cousins.
Daniel and his friends were going to meet in Vermont last weekend. He asked his cousin who is at NYU; but when Frank heard about backcountry skiing he said they had to take a course first. So Daniel, his cousin and a friend took an EMS course at the Appalachian Mountain Club in New Hampshire this week. It should have been Daniel, his cousin, and Joseph.
