Tomorrow we are taking our Christmas vacation - three months later, thanks to a winter storm Christmas week. Daniel and Kyle are able to come with us. We are going to Vieques, Puerto Rico. Ray and I went there in 2008 to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. In 2008, Joseph was in Africa, Daniel in New Zealand and Kyle in Portugal.
In Vieques there is a bioluminescent bay that is among the clearest in the world because the military bombing quashed tourism and development. Now that the island is not being used to test bombs, there is still not a lot of development. The bioluminescent bay is amazing, when you jump in you feel like you may be in a 3-d movie.
We told Joseph that we would all go together as a family when he came home. He did not come home, but we are going together as a family.
